While there are no plans really to ever lock down the entire board from guests in one shot, your view enjoyment will be severely limited as an unregistered guest. There are no passwords to any public sections anymore. However guest viewing rights will be removed from the most popular areas more often than not. Take the two minutes out of your surfing time and register/log in and you'll continue to enjoy the board as always...
