Window 7 woes

Call me crazy, but I love Vista. I don't plan on lining up to play Guinea Pig for Microsoft. I'll get 7 when I have to . . .

Well I did that beta test of W7 for a while, seemed perfectly stable to me (much better than Vista), and that's with me using many strange functions... As a general rule with OSes, though, you don't want to upgrade, rather, do a clean install. If you're worried about files, save them elsewhere (External HDD!) or make a separate partition.

Own Windows 7 Professional now, irritating thing was after installing all my programs back I had to fix startup again. sigh

windows 7 is good, but still not so different from vista i think...

I heard mostly good things about Windows 7 but I'm sticking with XP until all the bugs n kinks are fixed in it.

crazy i have never had a problem with vista, everything runs great even old stuff... have always wondered about the complaints...

consider yourself one of the lucky few. windows 7 is nothing more than a fix of vista, more than a service pack, much less than a new version. they would have called it vista SE, like they did win98SE, but the vista name is so reviled that they had to come up with a new name.
