The CNN report was fairly amusing.
'We were kinda hoping he was still in a coma.'
I dunno if that's quite what they were trying to say.....

Sure he had his legal problemss (which I believe he was innocent of, c'mon the kid was 10 years old he doesn't remember Thriller) in the last few years, but in his prime he was the man.
RIP Michael!

It's amazing how many people call him a child molester. There was never any proof that he was. He gave kids joy who had losers for parents. The guy is a legend. One of the best song writers and performers of all time.

Yep, that sold out like straight away too apparently.
His music is pretty good, it's just that he is a little bit odd.
People seem very quick to accuse him of things of which there is actually no proof, hence the "not guilty" verdict

I think his entire life was tragic. I for one thought the allegations were quick and without true form. He was indeed the "King of Pop".

Good to see some MJ fans (guess that means I better not start with the jokes then :D ).
Nah seriously, I agree with those who have said he was innocent, I think so too.
It's funny you know, the media hyped him as a pedo and were there for him happy to ruin his career, not only once, but twice, now he's passed on are happy to jump up and say how spectacular he was and that he was the greatest pop star of all time etc...
Funny how these slime bags do anything for ratings and the almighty $$$

The media in general piss me off. There're two things that've annoyed me about this bizarre day. (1) Madonna claiming she was so devastated she couldn't stop crying. FUCK OFF you crazy veiny old bint!! You were clearly the best of friends, I can see why you're grieving so very hard. [/sarcasm] Publicity-whoring upon the opportunity of someone's death just about boils my blood. Uri can fuck the fuck off, too.
(2) Boyfriend keeps changing the radio stations/flicking the TV channel whenever a good song comes on. He's a git, and I'ma break out my iPod and ignore him soon.
You, sir, can fuck the hell off. Show some goddamn respect.
You know what? I like you when you're not a complete knob.

Never was into his music, not my scene. Also didn't approve of his lifestyle. Even if he never laid a hand on a child, a grown man has no business putting himself in the position that he did with other people's children. He admitted on TV to sleeping in the same bed as the kids he invited to his home.
Sorry, that is just wrong.

One thing is sure, Michael had a hell lot of talent to be as successful as he was. He has influenced pretty much anybody who's 40-yearss-old or younger. Long live Michael!!!

It is interesting to see the the different reactions to his death. In the US it seems mostly that people have vilified him, though there is a large segment of the African American community that support him in his innocence claim.
It seems that overseas though, there is huge support for Michael and the pedophilia charges have not affected his popularity.
I also find it interesting that he is still so popular, even though he has not really produced a hit album since the late 80's early 90's. Very interesting indeed.

I don't really have a person opinion of the guy. I never met him. All I've ever know about him is what I've heard other people, most of whom don't even know him themselves, say about him. But putting everything else aside, I thought this was kinda cool.

Yeah, and I'm one of those freaky white guys you read about and I have Thriller on vinyl too. That says a lot about the legacy that Michael Jackson leaves behind.
As far as the charges against him, he was found innocent. It's not a stretch to say that Michael had emotional/mental problems, but I don't believe for a second that he was molesting or having sex with kids. Was he sleeping with kids? Probably, but I think that's all he was doing. Sleeping. I remember reading something about him years before; an interview with his interior designer. She talked about how in Michael's bedroom he had dozens of mannequins set up because he couldn't stand sleeping alone.
The point is, back in 1983, black kids and white kids were all rocking out to Thriller.
