I am new to the forum, and I have a question that may be more simple to answer that I am making it out to be.

I am a mac user and I am assuming that the uploading software that is available for download (sharpuploader) is for PCs. If I am wrong about that, then please correct me.

However, if I am correct, what would you all recommend that I use to upload pictures/videos and contribute to this site?

or use a simple online upload facility that doesnt require downloading of software!

Sorry m8 Mac users are fairly screwed when it comes to things like this. Best bet is like scrubz said just user sites like imagevenue and ********* that allow multiple uploads and are web based.

I never have too many problems like this with OSX.
The only thing I can't figure out is how to create .rars.
Anyone?

use winrar? or does rarlabs not have a mac compatible winrar?

Rarlabs has a version for Mac:

I have tried that one, but sadly I couldn't get it to work (more likely my problem rather than the app's!)
Really I was hoping someone might know a cool GUI rar maker (there is one, RarMe, but that needs the command line version to be working first so thats a non-starter)

Anyhoo, thanks for looking. Maybe I should try again as I might get it this time...
