Get Rid of Box The Clown Image Host!!!!

Every link clicked forces the user into a plethora of links. you cant even batch download from any Box the clown galleries!

I don't have any problems viewing pics - the host is clean from crap (imagevenue is starting to pop-up a lot - noticed on some recent posts), but the gallery downloads don't work and I think overall he just isn't maintaining it as it needs to be maintained. Maybe we can touch base with BTC and give him a chance to right the ship before making any moves.

I will say that when I see a BTC gallery, I just move along anymore.....no time for clicking each pic - imagegrabber does not work with it or ImageBAM for that matter. Both of those hosts get overlooked when I'm browsing - unless it's a single vid cap or something.

boxtheclown isn't a problem for me. and you say that you can't download using a grabber, but if you click view gallery then at the bottom it lets you download a zip of the gallery anyway. boxtheclown is also easy to use for the uploader and its lets your upload zips which saves time.

I have no problem with boxtheclown. I used to have a problem with saving pictures in firefox. They wouldn't save, only in IE they would save. I restored computer settings and it worked. What I am trying to say its probably something with your computer.

yes, that is true. i can't argue with that. thats ok AM, i understand. i may switch to freeporndumpster because i hear that they allow zip uploads too. is that right? i prefer that, it saves a lot of time and effort. i take my hat off to the uploaders that upload each pic individually. that takes a lot of effort!
also, freeporndumpster is good because you can use imagegrabber with it.
in fact, i think i will switch to freeporndumpster now! lol

I feel bad for BTC - know he's had some things to deal with and I'm sure his hosting has probably just taken a backseat. But BTC has an java-upload function, which allows me to select all, instead of selecting each photo individually, like at imagebeaver for an example. :-)

but other imagehost also provide functions like zip, rar upload for multiuploading & also a link to download whole set or gallery of archive like:

imagewaste.com

So think of switching your imgehost & give BTC a break to recover. :)

So many times I see complaints like this, and it makes me shake my head.

My site has, and will never have popups, viruses or the likes.

Funny how opportunistic imagewaste is.. haha

Anyway. Like I've said in the past, I'm not here to make millions. Just provide a site that is safe to visit.. no viruses or what not.

If you are experiencing popups like you suggest.. I highly suggest to you.. Download a spyware remover and make sure you have anti-virus running. Clean your machine... you have shit running on your machine that you picked up somewhere.. and it wasn't boxtheclown.

As for the zips... I was the first to do it for an imagehost, and see many are now following suit. Which is good for all of us... no more rapidshare shit. I see my downloads quit working temporarily... and working on it as we speak.

freeporndumpster has a java upload you can just press SHIFT + Page Down to select loads of files. As for zips, sadly can't zip up files on FPD, but can upload them

BTC - appreciate the effort and attention you're giving to your host. It's a solid host with good functionality and I will say never have I received a pop-up or virus from BTC.com or any approved host on DS for that matter. The zip download is awesome when functioning properly (know you almost got her right).

I left imagebeaver for BTC many moons ago. Primarily for the layout you provide (hey I like neat rows - what can I say!) and because there's no registration necessary for higher functionality.

That's all I'm looking for.

Yes, it does work with Image Grabber. And, I have zip downloads. Download the gallery and save us all a bit of bandwidth eh?

How often do you clear your cookies? The age check is to keep the govt off our back, and to make the web a little bit harder for the 10 year old to get a hold of the pictures. But, what I can do instead of setting a cookie. Save locally what IP address has verified age. Expirable lets say every week.

I agree, saving picture by picture sucks ass. That is why I am the first host to allow for FREE downloads of the entire gallery. No more rapid share shit.
Got to give me a bit of credit... or not. haha

BTC is better than imagebeaver. At least BTC offers zips. Imagebeaver completely redid the site and broke all the image dl'ers. Plus, BTC is easier to navigate and faster loading. YAY BTC!!!!

BTC works great for me!
I haven't been through any of the older galleries... but it seems ImageBeaver will spontaneously drop galleries. and that sucks! Maybe they fixed it in their new update.

What has been your experience with this kind of issue?

I never had a problem with BoxTheClown until now. Cajunguy's last few posts which his pics were hosted on BTC. The thumbs take extremely long to load or don't show up at all sometimes. All other posts I checked tonight load up fast. So it isn't my computer or anything...

when you go to log in it says "Do NOT use the ENTER key when logging in.
Click the Login button using your mouse."
now more than once, out of habit, ive hit the enter key to log in, and it still runs the same, can i ask why we are supposed to click the login button instead?

I was once the biggest advocate against BTC. Just today... I got Image Grabber to work, (without having to enter a BD), and It ran fast as hell!! A big Victory for BTC! So far...

The reason for using the mouse to click Login instead of just hitting enter is a bug with ASP.net. That is the language that used for the development of btc.

I can't remember at this time (beeeeer) if it was firefox or IE that hitting enter does not work in.

As for the few comments saying the site is slow. A few times of late our ISP has been a tad slow and we are working through those issues.
