Is there a program that can download all of the files on a site in one shot?

Trunx

Do you mean ripping the entire site? http://www.httrack.com

If you use Firefox download the plugin called Downthemall

Httrack is the only ripping program I have heard of, depending on how the site is built it might not rip the whole site.

Downthemall will only work on the page, downloading everything on the page you right click on. -Thanks to snook to telling me about this plugin.

You cannot download forums with Win HTTrack... You'd end up downloading everything it links to which would be a good part of the internet. So don't bother.

Try using QuadSucker/Web or UltraSucker/Web if you have a cable line or network.

They are ultra easy to use and configure what types of files you want to download, and UltraSucker is quite fast with 12 threads and no convoluted process like with HTTrack (although HTTrack is good if you want to do something complicated).

Oh, and don't forget FlashGet at Firefox as an alternative/addition to DownThem All.

Dont have firefox anyway...

El Comandante: I am interested in the UltraSucker...
Can it be easily configured to only get certain files/sets/vids from a site, without
getting everything it links to?

Wow, gonna take up a grip of HD space...
Does your downloader have features to select only what you want from a site?

Trunx
7th September 2005, 02:50 PM
Its limited to file size and the type of file I think.

This may be a little late but there is also Offline Explorer. It has a 30day trial or something like that but you can be pretty resourceful for allowing it to go past those thirty days. It has quite a bit of specifying options. Here is a screenshot of the options section

Here is the link to the product page http://www.metaproducts.com/mp/mpProducts_Detail.asp?id=1

After thinking about it I have the enterprise edition so I don't know what all the differences are in the programs.

Firefox + Spiderzilla http://spiderzilla.mozdev.org/

It allows you to download a World Wide website from the Internet to a local directory, building recursively all structures, getting html, images, and other files from the server to your computer

I'm not sure, but if Pictureripper is the program I used a while ago (until the trial stopped working) I remember it being a very good program, so it was too bad I never was able to find a crack.

i just downloaded spiderzilla today and so far it's doing the job. i haven't learned how to filter what i want, so i end up downloading a bunch of crap. i got spiderzilla at http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/more-info.php/spiderzilla. it should still work, but apparently doesn't work with newer firefoxes.
