A friend of mine just opened up this site, I just copy and pasted what he posted at another forum.
Basically, it's a free image upload service, that's better than any alternative out there today. Supporting jpg, jpeg, gif, png, and bmp. Here's why:
The only limit is 2MB per image. You theoretically have unlimited image storage and unlimited bandwidth transfer. (I am hoping that my AD revenue has a positive correlation with the need for more hard ware.)
Account creation is free. There are no "gotyas" or "you can pay to have this feature." It's all there for free.
You have a vast array of image editing tools you won't find anywhere else- including image resizing, conversion (jpg, gif, bmp, png), mirror image, emboss, rotation, and even the ability to add a border to an image. Plus more.
PhotoSpit also includes Photo Album management (I'm considering some UI enhancements in this area... specifically dealing with mass moving images.)
You can also upload ZIP Archives full of images. The only limit here is that the ZIP File must be 20MB or less (yes metallica, I increased the limit).
Easy links to get to your albums:
http://img.photospit.com/USERNAME - Takes you to a listing of the specified users' albums.
http://img.photospit.com/USERNAME/ALBUMNAME - Takes you to a listing of the images in ALBUMNAME.
Another great feature (that I know metallica likes) is the auto-link generation. You can generate six different forms of links for every single image in the specified album (web site links, web site thumbnail links, forum links, forum thumbnail links, direct links, and friend links).
You also have the ability to make an album private- so that only you can view it.
