For members that smoke i was curious as to what you pay for it in your part of the world and what laws apply. I am lucky i come from South Australia which because of it's soft laws has become the marijuana capitol of Australia.We use to be able to grow 10 plants for personal use with only a small fine if caught , now thanks to hydroponics (i cant stand hydroponic weed) i think it's only 1 now. If the police find a small amount on you they give you an on the spot fine , you get a larger fine for littering. The going price for an ounce is around $200 to $300 depending on the quality. :)

I know this is going to sound like a stupid question... But, how much weed is an ounce of weed?

Is it like a big bag, or a small bag? How many joints can you get out of an ounce?

live in southern usa, an ounce of good skunky buds is 60-100$ but havent smoked in a few months.. its against the law here for some reason..

a fat ounce is about half or 3/4 of a ziplock sandwich bag full..

must be low quality or higher availability midas, try doubling the price for the northern states. for the-man, an ounce is around 28grams, each joint depending on the roller is about2-3gram, unless you hav the paper out of a copy of big bambuey :wink: so anywheres from 13 down to maybe 9, again dependant on who'
s making them and how many seeds you got gipped with

Damn man.....an ounce? Umm I've heard anywhere from 50 to about 100 USD. It depends on what kind of weed you're trying to get. nug, schwag, dro....I've seen it all. Northern lights too, that tends to be way more pricey though. As crazy as it sounds, I don't smoke, but I know a LOT of people that do.

UK. about £100 when i last bought some.

The law over here is very weired. No-one can figure out what it is. I think:

you get a slap on the wrist if you are caught with a small amount. (1/4oz or less.)
you can smoke it in public but if ou are within 100 metres of a school, park or generally anywhere where children are you get arested on suspision of dealing.

generally it's light over here for posesion. dealing is still very much a life time prison deal

canadian weed is amazing!!! personally i smoke what me and my friends grow, we have aroun 45-50 plants in the bush and this is the first crop. lots crystal and red/orange hairs, smells like skunk, pine, or blueberries. around 180-190 for an oz (only buying one) and 600-700 for a quarter pound. (it all depends really tho). we smoke in blunt wraps, glass bongs, or we go economy style and craft a waterfall, bucket, or parachute to smoke from.

I have not smoked since 1998, so I have no idea what the current prices are on the East Coast (NY) but when I did smoke I had the hook up through friends so I never had to pay...

Now it's illegal in the US, but i have seen people get caught in NY and nothing happened, the cop took the shit and left... And these people were not major dealers, just random people on the street either smoking or selling.

Also, when I snoked I never rolled "Joints" I rolled "blunts"... So I always had a nice amount at all times.

Most are sealed in individual bags so as to keep them fresh and moist and flexible (dry cigar leaves are prone to cracking).

Blunts are generally larger, longer and slower burning than marijuana cigarettes (joints) which are rolled with normal rolling paper. This makes them particularly appealing for people who want something a bit more special to smoke and to share with several people.

All you have to do is go to a gas station buy a single Philly Blunt, White Owl, or some of the nice fruit flavored cigars, crack it lengthways down the middle and fill it with some weed and you're set!

I never got into the whole joint thing, at least when your with friends you can pass a blut around and it will last a long time.

It's $50 an 1/8th which makes it an even $400 on street for an ounce.

I pay $330 for an ounce of DANK (right now it's AK-47/Blueberries). Locally grown and distributed. Is there a weed-pic thread? Cause I got some macro shots of my buds....

In Detroit, I'd say cops arnt too harsh, they'll prolly just take your shit, let you go.....
However in areas surrounding penalties are pretty stiff. (except in ann arbor....read on) I've never been busted before though. *knocks on wood*
I wouldn't even consider selling shit.

....but in Ann Arbor, MI you can be caught with up to an ounce and get a small civil infraction. I think its only about 30$. Plus they always hold the annual "hash bash" where the cops are around but seem to be pretty mellow about the whole ordeal.
