Emkay here's a fresh start...

This is the general crap forum, general crap refers to everything from guns to that thing I'm growing in the bottom of my fridge, to yes even the dreaded politics. As I said in defense of one topic already, "To each their own". Where as the picture of a certain toe might be touchy to one and not another, so could hundreds of other things and would just end up being another general crap forum to be spammed. Most already want to roll the 6 pack into one topic as it is. Self censorship is by far the best tool to avoid future conflicts with this part of the forum... and hopefully there will be no need for anything further 8)

i picked it up at the gun show that comes thru here once a month, it came with a mismatched toggle piece, barrel and magazine and with help from gunbroker, gunsamerica, and ebay it is all original now. i got it to go with grandpas p-38 and gardone with the long bayonet.

yes, luckily pistol grip shotguns are legal here and fun as hell to shoot. its very hard to shoot skeet with it so i stick to stationary targets. i picked that one up at a pawn shop for one hundred bucks, the finish and inside parts showed it to be brand new.

was looking around at the local guns and gold store tuesday and found this US Colt Army 38. the serial numbers date the revolver to 1923, it has no rust or pitting and an amazing grouping for a 80+ year old gun. for my first revolver it is excelent..

youre right, ww2 lugers are harder to find, especially with all matching parts. i dont remember exactly but it cost around 800$
after a long hunt for a ww2 mauser toggle piece, barrel and magazine it cost total around 1100.00$ the toggle piece was only the center hinge pin but i wanted it all original

The Germans hand built a few lugers in 45 ACP for the American army to evaluate. There are only two left and valued at one million each. I wish i owned one. :)

i picked this up last weekend, its a MPA30 9mm and has the same lower reciever as the cobray so it takes every accesory you can find..

How loud is a silencer , I like that. With a gun like that the bolt going back and forth would make more noise than the bullet if using subsonic ammo.

the only problem with silencers here is that you have to have a expensive licence, that is just a barrel extention, smooth on the inside. i was thinking about getting the sidecocker for the M11 like this guy has. with a scope or laser would be the best way to see if it really improves anything but i like shooting it both ways.

I've heard silencers aren't really meant to be silent, only to dampen the shot sound so as to not cause any hearing damages. The way Hollywood portray silencers is faulty, as they can not silence a gun that much only dampen it a little.

Any person here who has shot with a silencer that could say otherwise.

Speaking of world wwII guns, someone found an entire warehouse of mauser kar 98's and their selling them for only about 300 a piece. The rifles have never been fired and are about 60-70 years old. There was an ad in a rifle magazine hidden on the back. Forget which one, might have been american rifle assoc. or sommat

yeah, thats a 37 pre ww2, it has the nazi eagles all over it. they were finatical about marking every little piece because with a mismatched part they would misfire or not fire. the internet arms list k98 at $295.00 at 95% condition but would be interested to know where and if they were russian captures. what i am really after is the luftwaffe p37 femaru.

yeah being in australia i have nfi what its even like to hold a gun, ive never even seen a real one! the closest ive come is shooting galahs with an air rifle on my grandparents farm. And im glad too, i mean i know that it wouldnt be hard for someone to get a gun if they really wanted one, but id rather there be laws prohibiting gun ownership rather then declaring it a right. If someone breaks into my place they can take whatever the hell they want, ill get it back on insurance anyway.
That being said i just watched mythbusters tonight and they had a 50 cal remington rifle that swat or something use, man that was a fuckin gun! the bullets were like 15cm long!
