I just learned this last week, thanks to the pros here,

Open up paint, click file, then open, then open the pic you want..
Click file again, then save as, then you can change it to jpg
at the bottom :shock:

I use compu pic to change my pic's.But compu pic dosen't distinguish between jpeg and jpg. :?

jpeg and jpg are the same. just a different way of writing it. it's all the same from the Joint Photographics Experts Group. just a letter less on the extention.

As long as we're asking How do you . . . ?, I downloaded the Jordan Capri ice cube vid and it is a PART file. WMP will play it but only straight through. It won't let me jump back or forward to different parts of the vid by clicking on the progress bar. ne one know why or how to remedy?

that's happened to me before too, but usually only when downloading and playing at the same time, and when it finished downloading it was fine.

I was asking cus I wanted to change my Avatar and it said the file wasnt JPG so I couldnt use it. Thing is its a JPEG and I too thought they were the same. Thanks for the answers though 8)

You can convert any format into any other Extension :wink:

Simple way: Just try using the programe your editing with now and go into "Save as" and under "Format" scroll down and select your desired format. :wink:

Just in case anyone else has this problem, here is a solution:

Download BS Player(if you don't have it already), you do not need to set it as your main player, just have it. Anytime you come across a vid with this problem, play it in BS and you can achieve the jumping back and forth through the vid.
