Did u click on the spammer's link??

I suggest you take another computer, download WinTasks, Adaware, Spybot Destoryer and Windows Spyware Anhilaotr BETA, and floppy disk them to your main rig, the one thats broken and install, and run them all.

I had almost same, and this helped and my comp is almost fine.

If you have senstive data I suggest you completely unlplug your cable and wait 1-2 days so the hacker looses connection to you.

haven't seen one of those in a while, when i used to run

www.dumpstersluts.com/index2.shtml webmasters would submit shit like that every single day abotu 50% of it would be that crap and just cause so much trouble, that's why i no longer accept webmaster submissions for galleries and either copy them from sites & put them on dumpster sluts or use trusted sites.

why the fuck do webmasters of other sites wanna fuck over our computers so fucking often!?

gotta go get drunk to commiserate your loss now.

Yea, luckily I didn't have any critical files on this comp...
Just all my FREAKIN PORN!!
Never been hit like that before..Wish I could trace it so
I could get in and tear their shit up
That heartbeat thing was crazy though..
As sad as it is getting wiped out, it was quite impressive

what exactly was the heartbeat? just a sound or was there more to it?

I had the volume low, I heard a low thumping and what sounded
like organ music, like from a Vincent Price film...
I just thought it was from one of the web pages I had open,
but when I closed them it was still there..
So I was like "what the fuck??!!" I turn up the volume, the
music stopped, but the thumping, sounded like a steady
heartbeat, lasted about two minutes or so..When it stopped,
my comp freaked out..

I know you've been working hard to regain a lot of this, and it has been a while since this has happened, but if there's anything that you know I have and you need to regain, lemme know.

Question, what kind of firewall do u have on your machine or network, me personally I have the one that came with XP Pro (thats a software one) and I have a hardware firewall it is on my 2wire router/gateway and it too has a software firewall, all 3 are set to alert me if any program is installed with out my knowing it and if any program attempts to connect to internet without my permission, kinda time consuming I know but rather safe than sorry, once you install the firewall you can test it at shields up (just google shields up) then do the firewall test, tells u whr your at with security on ur machine,

Now can someone please help me, I'm trying to install a new laptop harddrive (its ATA) and windows wont recognize ata this hard drive is totally empty and i'm trying to install win xp from scratch on it, win xp doesnt see it since its ata or sata so what do i do, how do I properly install it and get it to work, and if this is the right area to ask then where do i go, might not know much about harddrives but i definitely know about security, and hacking and keeping hackers out......Thanks for any help and if you need any help please ask me be glad to help...

Joe

And the only thing I can think of, is that your HD needs to be formatted for that system. When I first started using my 2 external HDs it said I had to do so, but it gave me the button to push so I could do it. As far as you situation, I'm sure there's a guru or two on here that can help.
