Thank the gods!
From the Rapidshare FAQ:
The Happy-Hours are back?
Yes, but we do not have fixed times for them, because the traffic required for this is HUGE. In the next days we will activate the happy-hours somewhere between 23:00 CET and 01:00 CET and they will be automatically disabled at 13:00 CET. This means they will be active for 12 hours!

This is the wrong forum for this post. It needs to be moved to "News & Announcements" or to the trash.

Apparently rapidshare has increased the max file size to 100 megabytes. Meaning less wait time when happy hour isnt in effect. Pretty cool, if you ask me.

I went to the rapidshare homepage and tried to find out when happy hour was. I found no mention of it. I think it was discontinued again because of what this statement says.
Maybe some people have realized that we have experimented a bit with the system today. However, we have found out that many users prefer a fast and reliable system than a system without download-limits, which is very slow. so we decided to undo our changes and deliver a service we always have delivered: Reliability and speed. We hope this decision is the right one for you. We changed the max file-size from 50 to 100 MB, which will be permanent now.
Instead of offering slow unlimited downloads they just increased the download limit per hour

I think that must be much better.

One thing that I've noticed now is that you only get one shot to download something. Used to be you could download at least two files one after another until you had reached your 50 MB limit or close to it. Then wait an hour and try again. Now with the new 100 MB limit I am only able to download one file, whether it be 20 MB or 100MB and it tells me to wait two hours. Has anyone else experienced this. Especially having to wait two hours!!

Yesterday when I started to download a file, I noticed something - except for the fact that I had to enter a couple of letters in a little box, then press a button [START DOWNLOAD] in order to make the download begin - I was able to download just like as if it was happy hour! For example I downloaded the P.Andersson vid (15 files) without any trouble at all, without the one hour wait, and with great speed! It wasn't happy hour yesterday, was it? As far as I could see, if that was the case, it wasn't announced.
Did anyone else experience this?

Yeah I did, but I just presumed it was because I use a download accelerator, but now I not so sure
